Following the dispersal announcements of the Gretnahouse herds of Aberdeen-Angus and Charolais, the opportunity to secure top genetics from one of the Charolais breed’s top herds was too good to miss. The trip to Carlisle to witness such a fantastic sale resulted in the purchase of two females for the Cardean herd.
First up at 7000gns was Gretnahouse Ogaradise. This March-2018 born daughter of Westcarse Jimmy was sold scanned in calf to the 28,000gns Lochend Nighthawk, due end of March. She came from the noted ‘Paradise’ family responsible for the 25,000gns Ubeauty, 15,000gns Ferdinand and 10,000gns Vigorous.

Next at 3500gns was the stylish April-born heifer Gretnahouse Umbria, by the 28,000gns, Lochend Nighthawk and out of Grenathouse Merlot, a Wesley Equinox daughter.
